| Being a frequent shopper
on Ebay, back in May of 2005, I made a purchase from a particular seller who
sells an awesome collection of Japanese items. I opted
to receive emails from this seller to watch for product
updates. I had no idea at the time how informative
and entertaining these emails would prove to be!
This seller is an American that has lived and worked in
Japan for many years. It is clear that he truly
loves Japan and has the most interesting insights into
her language, customs and history.
One day I just had to write to him to
compliment him on his emails and products. While I
was at it, I asked if I could possibly post his emails
to the website and told him of our great interest in the
actor Hiroyuki Sanada and all things
Japanese. As it turned out, he knew exactly
who Sanadasan was and said that he had been watching him
since his performance in High School Teacher. :)
Parts of the emails posted here are for informational purposes and
most of the advertising has been removed. You still may find a
paragraph here and there that tells about a few products
that they carry that might be of interest to
you, but this area of the site is not intended to lure
anyone to buy anything.
However ... after visiting their websites
jlist.com (for adults) and jbox.com, I may opt to join
their affiliates program where commissions can be earned
on anything that one might purchase after leaving this
site. If this is done any monies received will be deposited into a special account that
is set up to help pay for renewal charges of the two domain names
(sanadahiroyuki.com and jgraphicdesigns.com) and the hosting packages for
the websites.
So the money will basically benefit the regular visitors
of these sites. :) If and when this is implemented,
a special link will be provided on this page and the
main home page of the website for people to click through so
we will get credit for the purchases.
But the main thing ... just
enjoy these fun and informative pages as you have
time! I continue to receive these emails about one
to two times a week, so I will try to keep the pages up
to date for you. |
